How do I record multiple sites for an organisation/business?

OPTION1 – Simply create them as separate Contacts

This however will not allow you to easily identify who the ‘umbrella’ contact is.   You would need to use a naming convention or something similar to identify the relationship.

OPTION2  –  Record the separate locations as Alternate Addresses

This option requires the Alternate Addresses SW module to be installed.

 

An administrator can also go to Setup / Lookup Lists / Address Type and create a custom address type (e.g. Campus) if required.

 

OPTION3  –  Record the separate locations as separate Contacts and use the Relationship module to create a Relationship

This option requires the Relationships SW module to be installed.

 

This option allows the separate contacts to have a custom relationship.  E.g.   ‘Magill Campus is a campus for UniSA’ and the reverse relationship would be recorded as ‘UniSA has a campus at Magill Campus’
